I am trying to boost my homepage rankings, i want to do internal links with different anchor text(Exact Match keyword) to home page of my website

This case will get a penguin penalty for of internal links?

Should i use Nofollow for internal links?

Thanks

Diversify the internal link anchors.

Create a list of all the main keywords your homepage is targeting and use contextual anchors pointing to the homepage throughout your inner pages.

Also be sure to include links out from home page with main keywords/anchors and inner page to inner pages that have semantic context.

Best way to improve your homepage's authority is to send some backlinks to it. I mean external links to your homepage. While internal links could help, external links would bring majority of the juice.

internal links, within the site, only make google to understand better the content on the page.
it doesn't add/decrease backlink juice.
no meaning for nofollow (or follow) internally (you didn't buy the links from yourself, i hope :)
no penalty or rewards for internal links.

You can do whatever strategy comes to your mind when it comes to internal linking. It has minimal effects on rankings.

This is simply not true.

Internal linking is one of the most important technical SEO things you need to focus on.

Yes, you can rank orphan pages without any internal links, but it will be at least x5 more easier/faster to rank the same page if you have proper semantic grouped internal linking, optimized anchor ratio/diversity, and build pillar pages to pass juice/traffic to all the other URL levels.

There is no need to add nofollow attribute to internal links, but do not over-optimize them either.

Internal links have two main goals: 1) increase user experience, by helping the user navigation within the website's content, providing shortcuts to related content; 2) help search engine understand for which topics your website is relevant, by linking contents that are semantically relevant to each other.

Use different type of anchor text: some exact match, some more descriptive and keep an eye on your internal link structure (because your internal link will modify it).

Do you have any tutorials I can use ?

Link it only to relevant places and don't spam it. Use similar anchor texts for diversification.
