Question About Instagram Limits

I just started working with Instagram within the past week. It's an entirely new experience for me, but I've been reading up on it. One of the things I keep reading is that there is a certain number of times that you can follow/unfollow per day to keep your account safe. The standard seems to be like 2 or 3 follows per minute - or somewhere around there. I've also read that you shouldn't do a bunch of unfollows per day.

For the moment I'm building my account followers manually. This allows me to get familiar with Instagram and the way it works. So far I've been working with it every other day. It's a brand new account so I'm being extra cautious. I follow about 50 people per hour. I stop after about 3 or 4 hours. I know it's super slow, but again, I'm being cautious.

I'm thinking about automating the process next month. My question is how old does your account have to be in order to be able to do a lot of follows/unfollows a day? I've seen some people with Instagram accounts who do hundreds of follows every day, but their accounts are about a year old or so. Is there a certain age your account has to be before you can get to that point? Like, at six months, can I start speeding it up to where I can do massive follows/unfollows? Or are there certain factors that must be considered - number of followers, activity, etc?

My account is six months or less old, started using it a month ago and I was able to do yesterday up to 5000 unfollows and few days before that i did +-1500 follows. So in my opinion at six months you can surely speed it up with no problem.

I just created new IG account and starts following more than 2000 people in + 6 hour. And no warning at all from Instagram.
And then i tried with my Old instagram account (2 - 3 years old), following 1500 people and i got warning "You're temporarily blocked".
Its seem the age of the account didnt guarantee make you safe following - unfollowing massive account.
