so in my google search console I've been noticing lots of links I've built from specific domains aren't showing in my "links to your site" section after it was recently indexed. My question is when your site gets indexed, does it always detect/find 100% of links during that single index, or is it an incremental process where it takes time for each link to be found? I know I have way more links but Im not seeing them in webmasters

Same on my site. All of the backlinks I've made are in Google search if I enter the url's, but not all of them showing in webmaster tools yet. I'm not sure if they need more power behind them or not, so I'm using a spare Google+ account and posting them on there.

Guys, the list of links to your site gets updated every now and then. It doesn't happen at once, and your links are helping your sites as long as they are indexed. It doesn't matter whether they are displayed in your Webmaster Tools account or not.

Exactly, it can take quite a while before they show up in your WMT account. I am not sure why but I think it is because they are waiting a few weeks to see if the links stick or not, as a lot of links get deleted within hours/days so it's useless to show them in your WMT account.

You will never ever find all your backlinks at one place. Not even in WMT. A backlink can go missing even if the site is offline when google bot comes calling. So one tool will never give all the backlinks.

okay that makes sense, but If they aren't found in webmasters can we say that they still affect your rankings? or are they worthless if not found in webmasters

WMT takes time to update, as long as the page is index you are fine.

WMT doesn't give you actual data. If you want to see your backlinks more actual try to use other tools to compare the scores.

Keep checking every now and then and download them for your records.

Index in WMT always and safe too. It takes some time to show the indexed links.
