Hello all,

I recently started acquiring some backlinks from Forbes, all though their backlinks are all "nofollow", and from similar sites like:
  • Medium
  • Forbes
  • Huffington Post
I was wondering if acquiring backlinks from these kinds of big authority sites to my homepage, will that rise the DA (domain authority) of my website?

Thanks

I would think so, but it's unclear to me exactly how it is calculated.

I don't imagine nofollow links would hurt, it would add less than a ******** link. In my experience; many big websites don't like ******** links because it can reduce the Page Authority.

Building links on niche-specific traffic sites will increase your DA within a few days
Watch the DA score regularly and be patient

This are quite expensive for a reason, including potential traffic to your website.

Those links are mostly improve your traffic and improve authoritative to your site. If you want to improve the DA of the site,
publish guest articles on top-notch blogs not just for building backlinks but for building authority.
Even The more linkable content you have, the more quality backlinks and social shares you can attract, and the more likely it is you’ll have a high domain authority.
If you found a potential vulnerability, take measures to fix it, including taking down any harmful backlinks and removing any outdated plugins.

Lol wtf? There's half a dozen replies on this thread and no one answered the OPs question.

Question is do nofollow links influence DA... no, they do not.

Nofollow links will not increase the DA. You need d0follow links.

Well, the answer is no, how can you improve your DA with the no-follow link, if You want to improve your DA you need to build do-follow links, start building a quality link with high D.A website, no-follow links won't help you anywhere. start GP with niche-specific sites, link round-up can also help you, HARO is ideal for you in this work, you can build a quality link from HARO, start blogging and social sharing to improve the D.A these things will surely gonna help you.

The reason I'm trying to increase the "DA score" but not the influence is because some big sites from which I would like to get some backlinks they require that I have a big DA, that's why I want to use these sites to increase that number.

Creating high quality backlinks is an aspect of off-page seo, so getting high quality authority sites to link your website will increase your domain authority. so please don't recommend nofollow links.
