Question about Godaddy

Hello everyone, I currently have some domains in Godaddy and Namecheap but soon I must renew the ones I have in Godaddy and I have a doubt. I pay an extra 9.99 per year at Godaddy for "supposedly better protection", if I don't renew that protection does Godaddy's free protection also hide the Whois Domain? For example in Namecheap I do not pay any extra and my data is anonymous for WHOIS... but Godaddy does not clarify if without paying those 9.99 it remains anonymous.

Good question, I see that some of my domains registered with Godaddy are not revealing my name and address. Might be the details are hidden with their basic privacy settings.

if you are paying or not GoDaddy anonymous for WHOIS, then WHOIS show your domain hosting details, like DNS, Domain provider, IP address etc.

No, I don't pay extra $9.99. Not sure why do they hide my details, but I am happy that they do.

I transferred 2 of my domains to BlueHost and they started revealing my data to the public.

Ok, I think that if you don't pay they still protect the data but basic without double authentication or something like that

Transfer to Namebright or Namesilo (Privacy included) before Sept 1st increase if .com's.

Transfer out of Godaddy as soon as you can.

Godaddy is just legally extorting you for WHOIS protection, if you don't pay, i can bet my ass they will share everything to the world
Everyone else basically provides it for free
Do yourself a favor and get out of godaddy

In my opinion, namecheap is more budget friendly and has a good service, so i recommend you to go out of godaddy.

Take your business elsewhere, Godaddy overcharges for everything and sometimes allow attacks on your website so they can upsell you. I left them a few years ago, their service has been on a decline for a few years now. Google offers WHOIS protection for free. I now have my domains under google.

If you want to protect your identity, you can do this. Create a fake name and address, fakenamegenerator. Than go to wise.com to create a virtual credit card. Upload funds using those names. With this method it ensures your privacy. I have done it before.

You can go to your local gas station/convenience store and purchase a prepaid credit card, register it with the fake name and address, upload the funds to your virtual card.

It is not, you can transfer fee when you transfer from one seller to other. And after transfer, your domain's expiry date gets extended. So it's just like renewal.

But as far as I know, Godaddy provides whois hiding support for free. I think the thing you checked is something else.

I checked again and it seems that the 9.99 is to cover you in case you forget to renew the domain... the whois seems to be free as well as namecheap.

I deactivated the payment of the 9.99 and my data is still anonymous so it works the same, I think the extra cost covers other things. My domains expire at the end of September, if I pay today the date will be from today or from the expiration to 2023.?

I hope you see it, the prices for domains reeks up overall, for new tld extensions too.
Chcek godaddy renewal prices (after the first year) for io, news, online, site, pro, blog are between 38- 75€ Euros !!! In uk and usa the prices are cheaper thanks to the europe imperialism today....(it's not your fault guys) .

Gofuckdaddy raises the domain prices beyond good and evil like hell !

What does all this have to do with supply and demand on the economic market? Ok, when most .coms are taken, yoru see this year .net tld prices are raising up, so the consequnece of this, more people buying non .com tld's so the prices of non .com and .net tld's rasing up.
Remember a few year sback in the past new tld extensions coming up for cheap prices, because so many .com domains are taken, big G as company and wef member , they have a big database + their other wef friends (ICANN, EIG, domain owners....) too, so th elast two year sback they raising up the prices for these new tld's they know it will be more rare to get a. com domain, so the price goes up, till today get a .com domain is become more and more rare to get, they raising up the prices too + with additional lies using like carbon, clima whatoever and whatnot types of ideaologies.....

But the famous stand alone gofuckdaddy here is the one who has criminal domain prices......this is really silly, crank.
And in their contract is a clause that they can change the prices anytime of domains, webhosting, website builder whatsoever........(Hostgator and many EIG webhosters too)

Whats happen on planet earth? Who in this world is buying services from gofuckdaddy?

Do you see new dark shadow price practises in supermarkets on foods? Yeah ? Here in germany, new packages of meat coming up, like sliced prok (like gyros) 800gr. package (before it was 500gr.) what do you think will happen when you grill it or in in pan fry?

Yep at the end your have half of the package you can eat, oh you say "oh thats only water", nope my friend the big tyrant food industries inject water-salt solution to pump up the weight /volume, in chicken breasts too, so with that you eat a ton of salt with that 800gr. package and you wonder why you have high vlood pressure because you eat "clean meat".....yes I know it not sounds positive and I be the last human on earth who is an pessimist, but these evil criminal practises most be spread out more so that more people arounfd the globe will become awake. Yes the truth often is a pitter pill....
