Hello guys. One of my clients wants to pay me via gift cards.

I've never accepted such payments. Can you tell me if it's hard? Also, is it possible to accept gift card as a payment from my client and then exchange for crypto fast? How much time would it take?

Please help me to understand how it works. Thank you!

Accepting gift cards as payment is possible but can be tricky. You need to verify the card balance first to avoid scams. Once you have the gift cards, you can use platforms like Paxful, Bitrefill, or LocalBitcoins to exchange them for cryptocurrency. The process usually involves listing the gift card details on the platform and finding a buyer, which can take anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours, depending on demand and card type. Be aware of potential fees and ensure you're using reputable services to minimize risks.

I would personally never advise to accept payment via gift cards due to just the nature of how it is & just the risk attached to it.
If they want to be anonymous, they can use crypto.

It is possible.
You would need to find an exchange that accepts gift cards like paxful, which just keep in mind, they DO take a % cut or it's not always the best price.

If you dont have buyer, dont go for gift cards. Plus be careful with online sites, which buy your gift cards, most of them are run by scammers.

If you don't have a buyer for the gift card, then you're better off not accepting gift cards as payment.

If it were me, I'd never accept a gift card as a form of payment, and my advice is that you should err on the side of caution.
