Question about G Analytics

So, I just threw up G analytics on my new site to track the visits and all of that, and I usually do that with my sites, however, this site is different. I usually make one page niche sites, and it tracks visits to that one page.

My question - this site I am in the process of developing has about 90 sub pages... do I have to install the script on each page I put up or can I just put it on the home index.html and if someone clicks on a subpage from g**gle i.e. mainKW.C0M/SecondaryKW analytics will still log that as a visit to my site?

If it's HTML you need to put it on every page you want to track. On the other hand if you're including footer with PHP you can just put it there once.

i have my site made in .aspx, now do i need to put code on all pages or only on homepage

Nerevar right, if you are using wordpress, just place the GA code on footer.php

Yes it will need to be put in every file if you are running a static site with seperate html files per page, but for your ASP site you have a common file such as a header or footer files that is shared/used on all of yoru pages then simply putting into this single file will be suffice.

I use xsitepro to make all my sites... I'm not that proficient in site building so that has suited my needs perfectly. Not sure where to put the code, right now it's in the Head area... lol I think that should work according to exhageis.

You have to put it on all page you want to track.
