Question about expired domains

I bought an expired domain that has quite a few links to reviews on their old site. I've done a 301 redirect of any url on that domain, to go to my money site (say, moneysite.com). So, both expireddomain.com and expireddomain.com/somereview/here.html both go to moneysite.com.

But I've finally gotten Google search console to crawl expireddomain.com, and it's showing failed: server error (5xx) for even just the straight domain url. I've checked expireddomain.com on, say, Moz on-page grader, and everything is normal. Is this something to do with the 301 redirect??

Have you tried checking the redirect path yourself?

Ah, nevermind I figured it out. It's due to the money site being on a subdomain on a high DA site, and that high DA site is spitting out errors to Googlebot for rate limiting.
