Question about expired domain and redirection

the question is the domain indexed or not, if not indexed and you redirect to ur moneysite, it will increase ur DR but no effect at all in your SEO

Hey, I enjoy reading your comments. I am newbie about SEO...if I buy expired domains and redirect them to my site (assuming they are not penalized domains), will my domain authority grow?

There will certainly be a dampening factor of sorts, but as long as you get the redirects set up properly, possibly identifying well-linked pages on the old domain and replicating similar pages on your own, you should see some benefits.

I don't think a single website redirect will help you much. It looks like this domain has 160 links coming from 2 websites. This isn't good. I would be afraid the previous owner may have built the links just to raise the DR and make the website look better.

I redirected one domain recently that had 15DR to a new domain in a different niche with zero DR it is now 13DR so one domain can make the domain jump in DR.

You just do a 301 there is a lot of guides in the forum. With this site it did not really help rankings since it is to new and to few posts. I just did the redirect for fun on this site.

If way back machine shows no unusual activity in the past then it is one green signal for me. But then you have to manually check the top backlinks pointing to the domain in question. Are the links redirects? Are they coming from good quality sites? How much is the number of links per domain, etc.
Penalty can be checked once the website is rebuilt with this domain name and GSC is added. however it does not show any shadow ban or every penalty.
Let's see if any member here has anything else to add here on how to check the penalty of an expired domain.

Without analyzing the link profile, domain spam index, and whether or not the domain has received any manual action, we cannot say that it’s a surefire way to increase your DR. But with all of those taken out of the equation, I think you should have some success in your endeavor.

It could pass some of the authority. But you might still encounter indexing issues until google trusts the new domain

Redirection is good, only when it ticks all the check boxes like - indexing, clean link profile, absence of penalty, linked to updated content
