$20m was his cut if I remember correctly. The company was sold for more than $1billion or so. He was talking about it on khan academy.

@OP when you have such amount of money, what else can you do! If he enjoys partying, he wouldn't be in where he is today.
He is the richest man because working is all he can do, so he will just keep doing what he is good at. Thanks god I am the opposite of that

Elon is a megalomaniac and mentally not quite up to scratch (some people say).
Apart from that you always want more, that is his life what else should he do.
His life consists of making money. Just like most other people. I love making money too, for me its much more fun then playing games.
The difference is only that he has enough money left at the end of the month, normal workers do not.
No idea why so many people (especially older people) hate him. The first thing I hear is always, the guy is disabled but look how the dances.
He changes the world while other people sit at their 9 to 5 job and fight for their survival and even be satisfied with it.
(Well actually I already know why they hate him, manipulated by the media).
But maybe there are reasons to hate him and I just don't know.
