Hello!

All jokes aside...
I've been trying to find a product on aliexpress to start a dropshipping store with, but there seem to be only 5000-10000 sales a product, at most. How does that seem to be sustainable? I don't know if those products will last any long time in case my store goes viral/I make a lot of sales.

There's no sustainable product, I think Apple release new phones every year

Search “Drop ship” and you’ll get some results. I know a fellow that drop ships cashmere scarves.

AliExpress listed products are all from China. If your store goes viral, lots of sales, then the suppliers that you are buying from will see the trend and you can also inform them that their products are selling like super hot cakes. These Chinese manufacturers (via AliExpress) can scale up their production very easily, Chinese are super adaptable in doing business and who would not like to manufacture or make more if their products are selling more (?) !!!

what about real suppliers?
That'd be really dope, but I am unsure on how to automate the process from selling on Shopify to processing the orders in retail. On the other hand, real suppliers mean that the customer can just go and get it at the mall while it's there. So I would honestly go with something more unique

I'll give that a shot and see what pops up thanks!

That makes sense actually. I did found a good product (I believe) for me today, so let me know if you need any help as well.

By sustainable I meant if it's able to keep my store running without running out of stock. I just realized there's a stock shown as well, sorry about that.

When you start hitting bigger numbers, it’s more lucrative and efficient for you and your supplier to move to direct payments, and you send them CSV files. For example, I was able to get the price of a $12.8 product down to $11.5, which, at a certain scale, is definitely worth it. That’s why the orders don’t show up on AliExpress.
