Brehs for an educational site targeting students, is better to have a .com or .org?

If I'm in your place, I'll take .com, .net & .org and build the website on .com if it's commercial & redirect the other two domains to the main website. Why am i going to buy these domain extensions? Just to secure my brand from domain squatters.

Or vice versa.

Use the .org to build the site and then forward .com .net etc to that. Apparently it is one of many seo signals.

If it's a business then .com is the extension to select.

the .com is taken, not in use either. the .net and .org still available. But since is the educational niche, I think the .org might do the trick.

If it is for an institution, you can go for .edu, and if it's a niche site targeting students for taking a course, I would go for .com .

For a website they use to know the domain .com but no issue if you try .org- They are acceptable digitally

If .com is available go for it. Depending on your budget, you may book the other extensions.

Like you said .com is taken, then go for .org. I usually pick .com .net .org in that direction, but if education is your case then .org sounds better than .net

Only go for .com domains if you want to be a brand and want to be on front, by the .com domains rank very well among all others

If the com is taken can’t you find a different domain? Not great for your brand if someone else has the com...
