Hey all. So I had a .com domain which received a complaint due to content and the domain registrar asked me to take down the content.

I have now registered with a .to extension in order to avoid future complications. But I want to know is there any issue with having the .com re-direct to the .to? Would this be a violation according to registrars? as technically the .com is no longer having any content, but simply re-directing

your problem was the content (probably you've infringed onto someone else's copyrighting rights), not the TLD. So, it doesn't matter if you use .com or other extension, it's still the content that's the problem :)

You either need to remove / replace the content that's been struck, or (and this is best option) re-write it and then you can publish the rewritten version onto your .com site
