Question about Domain Redirects and Rankings

Hello. I did something stupid.

I had a domain, we'll call it A

I recently changed it to B

I redirected everything on Namecheap so if you type in A, you'll go to B. However, all of my rankings have disappeared. I am kind of an idiot and forgot about google (most of my traffic is social media).

I now used Google's "Change of Address" tool and it's in progress.

Does this mean my rankings for A will be restored?

You need to w8 sometimes that happens. In many cases it go back.
