Depends on traffic amount as shared hosting would become slow on high loads or you could get penalized by the hosting company. Also shared hosting may have a lot more downtime and you dont want to be losing any clicks. For maximum performance buy a vps hosting.

I am a bit confused, which is normal for me but if I use an offer from Max Bounty directly would it still matter? Why would I need any hosting with direct linking? Forgive my ignorance.
If you are direct linking, why do you need a hosting in the first place? You could only host your own clicks tracker there.
