Question About Content Writing: Original or Repurposed?

So I see all these content writing providers here but for the majority of them, where does the content actually come from? Are people writing original content with a bit of research, or is the content mostly from expired domains that aren't indexed by Google anymore and repurposed? Or just straightup repurposed from another site. I'm looking to start outsourcing content writing but I want to avoid any duplicate content issues. If anyone could provide any advice, that would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Its pain in ass to find good writer with affordable price. $5 per 500 words will not get you anything if you are looking for quality content with deep research. You can contact few bhw sellers and tell them your requirements and ask them for samples.

Hey, thanks for the insight! Yeah, I would ideally not have to go over $5 for 500 words but would like unique content at the same time. Tall order, huh?

I only write original content. I enjoy the research process. I always try to find original ideas As there is far to much shit eating up server space.

My answer to your question is "it depends". Why? Some clients order original content. Some order re-written content.
Those who order original content provide their keywords and other requirements. Those who order re-written content deliberately mention that they need the content of an existing file or blog post to be re-written and get it Copyscape-passed.

Regardless whether it's an original or a re-written content, there's a way to avoid duplicate content. Ask your content writer his or her mechanism in place to avoid plagiarized content.

As far as my standards are concerned, I don't allow my writers and editors to quote the exact text from other people even for news writing. As you know, it's common for news articles to quote the exact words of people. I don't allow that as I do not want my writers to take advantage of that for the sake of meeting a word count requirement.

You heard about an expression that says "You get what you pay for", right? Well, it's true. Seeing how much money you are willing to invest when purchasing content services, you are most likely be getting a rehashed bullshit that can be found anywhere on the web. It may look unique (passing 100% on Copyscape) but the information will be the same as on any other website.

A very few people on the web give unique, and truly unique content with a unique piece of an information. They pay a lot of money and spend a lot of time getting that information. Are those people willing to sell that piece of information for $0.01 per word? I doubt.

Let me show you an example. Let's say you are an...SEO expert! You are great at what you do. You know things other people do not know. You spent years learning day by day and trying to figure out how Google algorithm works. You know all of the secrets! Will you be willing to throw around knowledge it took you years to acquire for a cent per word? I do not think so. Even if you are willing to sell it, you will be charging high prices for it.

That's the deal with writers. I am a writer, too, and I am giving you a straight no-bullshit answer that is true for every writer in this industry. You can find writers who will be willing to write and adjust to your budget. Some will offer you even less. Hell, I can do it for that price, too. It takes me 20-30 minutes to write a 500-word rehearsed piece of shit. But will the information in the article be unique? Hell, no!

I might not copy anything directly but I will just tell it in my own way making it pass Copyscape 100%. And everyone in that price range will do the same. It is even more likely that everyone up to $5 per 100 per words might do the same thing. Though, as the price increases, the overall quality of content increases. There are fewer grammar mistakes, they most likely use a professional editor, they use more than two or three sources when writing an article, and they might even use some information from a paid eBooks they acquired previously. At least, I do that, and everyone I know does the same.

Again, the information provided is still rehearsed and taken from another source. Not copied directly to violate any Google copyright law, but not in any way different than what can already be found somewhere else on the web.

The usual rate: Anywhere between $500-$1000 per piece. But the story and information they write can't be found elsewhere. You haven't heard it before from a friend who read it because no one read it because it was not written prior to that.

Thanks so much for the input. Very detailed and comprehensive answer. Much appreciated. For my needs, I suppose I don't necessarily need something that's 100% unique in the sense that it can't be found anywhere else. I'm perfectly fine with content that requires research to write as long as it's not just a paraphrased version of one specific article. I do a bit of content writing myself but I don't have time to write as much as I need. But when I write, my SOP is typically to find anywhere between 3-5 articles pertaining to my subject matter and combining bits and pieces from those articles in my own words to create a new article. Anything along those lines would be more than sufficient.
