Morning all who sees this,

I am consolidating my G-daddy accounts down to 1 domain before i renew for hosting. I am curious when i move a website to .html from a godaddy .com:

1. is there any affect?
2. will the link remain the same though its html now?
3. Basicallly some pages rank and keeping the site structure?

You will rank back for same keywords you can do 301 redirect.
You will loose backinks as you urls will change.
If possible keep the old url structure, nobody uses .html url anymore.
I dont know how you will end up with .html in any case avoid it.

Before anything else, shut down your GoDaddy accounts and move to a decent domain service

Anybody with more than 1 year on internet or 2 days on this forum should already know that GoDaddy is one of the worst garbage services on internet

Moving from .com to .html changes the URL, so you need redirects to keep rankings and traffic safe.

The move has been made, all my links that matter hit the homepage at index.html which is still .com really so I am guessing all is well. My only issue is DNS propogation which hopefully is done by tommorrow. Mobile is loading and testing sites show desktop and mobile loading but i see desktop down. Hoping it is cached at the ISP is the reason only.

Can someone enlighten me on what "moving a website from godaddy .com to .html" is supposed to mean? I mean, sure, you can have your file extension be part of the url, but what does your domain have to do with that? I'm honestly lost.
