Question about .co Domains

Okay, so here is the 'situation'. I have an EMD with a .us extension. I've built some pretty good links to it, content updated regularly, etc. I have not been seen much about .co domains lately and am wondering if they are still a TLD and still pull in more credibility/authority over .us domains. Any help/insight/discussion would be appreciated. Thanks.

I think .co are more dominant than .us.

I would imagine so, since they are one of the 4 Top Level Domains. However, I've heard they've fallen off and I am looking for some opinions from members who have tested this or atleast deeper insight. Thanks though.

I have a three letters .co domain, it was available and i registered it, never built a site, the domain was never used and still i got an appraisal and real human evaluation for it at 7000 USD, so i guess .co just like any top TLD, they are wanted if the name is short, meaningful.... etc.

2-4 letter domains are worth $x,xxx regardless of the extension usually.

I have had some success with a .co but they do cost more. Have not tried any .us.

Well, as an update, my idea worked. My rankings shot up once I did the redirect. I also did some linking a few days after the redirect.
