Firstly, am I allowed to link the page that is selling them, as I want someone to verify if they're worth buying or not?

Secondly, I'm trying to compete with a site that currently holds 125,000 backlinks. I'm competing using a domain I bought only two days ago.

Can this be done, and how much will it realistically cost me in either time or money?

The site I'm talking about is offering 15,000 backlinks for $104, so using just maths, I'm figuring that $1000 could get me competing with this other site..

Is there more to it than that? This is something I'm not particularly versed in, so any help on wether this is worth it or not would really help.

Also, if it is a scam, and you're allowed to post links to tried and tested backlink suppliers, I'd really appreciate it. I've already purchased the 25 .edu special offer from here.

    Thanks in advance.

Edit: While searching the forum I just found a thread with someone who said the same thing, and turned out to be the person selling the links. I am not selling links, just in case you're suspicious, I can't even send PM's.

You may want to look into fiverr.

The rates on there are a lot lower. However the quality won't be the same. Just be careful.

Hi, thanks for the replies. I'm looking on Fiverr, and the rates on there are insanely low.

However, there's lots of people offering; is there a trick to figuring out which ones are worth it, or are they all worth it?

Ah, sorry, I see they have reviews on the pages. Thanks!

How about that link I posted about though, I believe it's a similar thing. Shall I just assume they'll be 15,000 mostly useless links?

That is, unfortunately, just not the way it works.

    1. Only a percentage of the backlinks you buy will show up as backlinks, most will not, but it really depends on the quality of those backlinks. Mass backlinks you buy tend to not be very high quality.

    2. You need to have link diversity, just having 125k of the same type of backlink will not really benefit you at all. Consider buying a very wide variety of backlink types, from several different providers.

    3. Ranking isn't just a function of who has the most backlinks, as if "you get 125k+1 you'll be in first place". You can outrank a site with 1% of the quantity of backlinks if your backlinks are very high quality.

    4. The best way to outrank a difficult competitor is to try to rank for a lot of related long-tails first, then slowly build up to the "big" keyword. Make inner page of your site rank for long-tails. So it should look like this:

domain.com/keyword-longtail1.html = backlinks to this page for longtail kw 1
domain.com/keyword-longtail2.html = backlinks to this page for longtail kw 2
domain.com/keyword-longtail3.html = backlinks to this page for longtail kw 3
    etc....

at the same time, build up some backlinks to the root of the site for your big keyword.

    ---------------------------------

    Conclusion: it can be done.
You will definitely need some time to build this up... 6 months to a year for that quantity.
You should consider other sources of backlinks, both fiverr and services from here on BHW will generally be the most cost-effective.
If you want to PM me the link, I can have a look at the service in question and let you know if it's worthwhile.

You can do a search and then sort by rating.

This will bring up The most reliable gigs.

don't just assume that a few positive reviews mean anything, and you have to know what you are buying and what it's good for.

There are several threads on this forum with people discussing the best fiverr gigs, so you should look for those.

Personally, since you have the budget and are not very familiar with backlinking, I would recommend going with some of the monthly, multi-tier services here on bhw, rather than random fiverr gigs.
Your results will be much better.

look for the 2 services offered by extrawinner (buy both of those)
and look for other monthly multi-tier services (there are a few)

it's important to get a steady flow of links over time, not just huge peaks followed by nothing.

also, make sure your site is ready to handle the backlinks - for something of this size, you should really have at least 100 pages of high quality original content - nothing duplicate and no spun garbage.

Be very careful about paying someone to build backlinks for you. I do not know any of these vendors, but you can look around this forum and see many many people getting slapped here lately. Many of these people have been automating backlinks for a while, and they will tell you it hasn't hurt them. Then they show up slapped, and moaning.

I know that these respected vendors would not do anything to purposefully hurt your site, but Google is in flux, and if they make a mistake, YOUR site gets slapped. They are still in the money.

On fiver, it is worse. Someone buys scrapebox, and blasts your link to any site they can find. Many of these sites will have thousands of outgoing links, many wont even be in the google index, and all will have comment like

"great job. I lik you stule. I will be bak to reed yur stuff."

Believe me they know nothing about SEO, and could care less. They want to get your money, set up a blast, and walk away.

I am not saying don't do it. I am saying you are walking on quicksand and you better be very careful of the steps you take.

I do not usually do any link building with automated tools. Quality backlinks are too easy to find.

Especially right now, just look in this forum. Many people are getting slapped and they do not know why. Most of them have been blasting links in some manner or other.

Google doesn't like gaming the system. buying links in any form is gaming the system, when Google finds it they will Panda whip your ass without warning.

Agente and Sidebo, thanks guys. That's really amazing advice. I guess what you're saying is that I can pay someone to do this for me, and possibly suffer, or I can do a moderate amount of legwork myself and ensure that I get quality results, which will always trump quanity?

I think I'm going to take your advice, I've never been adverse to a bit of legwork on my end, I'm going to dedicate a couple of days a week on days I don't have jobs and just build links and add content to my blog.

One last question: When you say that it's easy to find quality links yourself, is it possible you could explain to me, or point me to a thread on here that shows me how to choose or find quality backlinks?

I have searched this forum, but there's such a tremendous amount of information that I currently have over 40 tabs open!

Thanks again guys, really appreciate you taking the time to help me.

I have one more advise for you, beside the good one that you already got it. And this is what I have done.

Get your own SEO tools.... An starting package (VPS + PROXY) will cost you around $50- $60 / month plus the software license. This is not an new age package, just a starting package, but can make you an idea so you know how to and what to upgrade...

I will start with SCRAPEBOX and with the tones of tutorials on the web (also feel free to contact me if you need help).... This is a great tool and ca help you with many things, from building tones of backlinks to get AA+ links to manually post.

You also can buy and SEO software and run it on your computer and after move to a VPS...

The idea is that you will build the backlinks so you will know what you do and be sure of the quality....

    Thank you.
