Is scheduling blogger posts and wordpress posts for the future bad for seo? Why are people looking for auto-poster software to mass post?

Do you mean auto blogging? It is not good for SEO purpose on Google. But this still works for social media.

Scheduling them isn't bad if you wrote, say, 5 articles today, and you want to spread them out over a week. However, if they're just short, crappy, completely automated bot posts, then that's not very good for your website..

For SEO, auto blogging is the best bad thing. But many looking for the instant growth in rank for their blogs. It hit out those blogs shortly by G bots. It's not good for SEO, do prefer unique posts that stands for long and good. It will rank up naturally.

himanuzo is correct.....In auto blogging the content quality will be bit low....However, if you choose the content carefully you can do a hybrid blog that is a much better quality for visitors and from an SEO standpoint. I suggested loading Google Reader with good feeds and daily reviewing and selecting some to be posted on your blog and it could be semi-automated. for example take tumblr account and the choose tumblr feed and give that URL to WordPress plugin it help to post each item in the feed as a post on your blog say in some period of time interval......i not sure that tumblr is good for this.... so just go with some other social media like facebook and twitter....:)

This thread has been confused! Scheduling is one thing, autoblogging it's another.
I'm always using scheduling system from WordPress and never got problems in ranking. I don't know what type of articles you write to say that scheduling it's bad Seo practice.
So I think it's a myth and if someone can explain why the content with scheduling it's

It isn't bad for SEO. In fact, you can do this automatically for your past posts. I use a Wordpress plugin called RevivePosts (or something like that) and you can set the intervals at which the plugin will post your past posts to Facebook or Twitter.

try to avoid autoposter softwares, instead use manual postings in tumblr, technorati, squidoo or even stumbleupon, because autoposting considered a bad SEO practice.

Yes, you can make your post schedule to make it live on a specific time. You can select date as per your requirement, its not bad for seo.
