question about blog comments/backlinks

quick question, when posting a comment on a blog and you have a box like this:



if i was to just post a normal comment but leave my sites url in the box would this count as a backlink even if the url isn't visible on the comment?

The URL has to be visible on the page to be counted as a backlink. After your comment is approved, try this:

1) load page where comment was approved
2) do CTRL+U
3) then, do CTRL+F and type your url in the search box. if the URL is not found in the search it means you don't have a backlink on that page.

ok i did this on a couple of pages and my URL was there even though it wasnt visible on the normal page!
