Hi everyone, I am after a bit of advice. I currently have a seasonal ecommerce site that I have done pretty well with over the last couple of years. Because I know google is a shit and I don't trust them, last year I created a second ecommerce site in exactly the same niche selling the same products as kind of a backup to my main site and to give me a better chance of dominating the niche. My main site was hit by penguin and has dropped significantly for most of the keywords and I am currently working to try and get my rankings back. My secondary site however, has never really had any SEO done on it up to this point as it was more of a backup and I never really did a lot of work on it. What I am wondering is, if I was to blast the shit out of my secondary site is it likely to see some serp improvements and stay there long enough to get me a few sales? I know that ultimately it will probably drop again but if I could get it to stick for a couple of weeks then that would probably bring in a decent amount of money. The niche is fairly competitive but not ridiculous like some. What do you guys think?
