Question about blasting my site

Hi everyone,

I am after a bit of advice. I currently have a seasonal ecommerce site that I have done pretty well with over the last couple of years. Because I know google is a shit and I don't trust them, last year I created a second ecommerce site in exactly the same niche selling the same products as kind of a backup to my main site and to give me a better chance of dominating the niche.

My main site was hit by penguin and has dropped significantly for most of the keywords and I am currently working to try and get my rankings back. My secondary site however, has never really had any SEO done on it up to this point as it was more of a backup and I never really did a lot of work on it.

What I am wondering is, if I was to blast the shit out of my secondary site is it likely to see some serp improvements and stay there long enough to get me a few sales? I know that ultimately it will probably drop again but if I could get it to stick for a couple of weeks then that would probably bring in a decent amount of money.

The niche is fairly competitive but not ridiculous like some.

What do you guys think?

If you do blast it your site will get hit by the penguin filter. At the moment google is looking more in favour of contextual links but.. The content has to be really really good if your spinning at least 80% unique making sure its readable. You could dominate this niche by blasting your website with web2.0 then use the blast on these web 2.0 to give them some juice. Blasting with scrapebox these days right at your website is a bit of a no no ... A few case studies have proved that blasts do nothing good for your site!

I'm hearing people getting good results blasting their tier 2 links with GSA though!

Do you realize that the OP is talking about a eCommerce website right? what content he could spin? the product description?! or what? Do you realize that 90% of his website content is full with product description/category..etc..


Well you can start to blast your secondary website but you must do it in the right way...
1) Use anchor diversity and having a eCommerce with hundred's of kw and link it will be no problem. Do not forget to keep the diversity anchor related to your niche.
2) You must do it constant... Link velocity is very important. So do not blast it with 100k in a week and then stop... keep a constant but yet increasing number of links per time unit.
3) If the website drop do not stop keep on going and add some changes to the anchor and you will see it rising again even higher. If you stop when SERP drop you will have a hard time to get it back.

Don't blast it. You will see far better results building small amounts of links scattered throughout your internal pages.

I thing the op need a fast and aggressive solution.

I didn't test your method but it seems that will a long term one.

P.S. I forget to mentioned.. Do not blast the links build in the aggressive strategy
