Question about backlinks

Say I have a backlink from highauthoritywebsite.com - this links to say mywebsite.com

say i make a subdomain and transfer my website to the subdomain so it's now links.mywebsite.com

Now, I have a backlink to mywebsite.com but mywebsite.com now 301 redirects to links.mywebsite.com

do I still get the link juice? or do I need to get the backlink changed to the new subdomain

Yeah with a permanent redirect you'll still get the "juice", though it is better to link directly without the redirect if possible, but not crucial if not possible, you'll still get value

it does but i always had bad luck with internal 301 and url structure changes

so I have my own PBN i've started, about 8 or so sites, each time i change to a new subdomain do i need to change the backlinks to the new one? or can i just leave them and 301 redirect

you can leave them and do 301, while address new backlinks for new domain
