Question about backlinks

Ok so let's say I can get links on 2 different Websites.
A = Niche related, loWer DA ( 15-20 )
B = Not related but higher DA (25-40)
Which one is better and Why.

I think it would be Niche related link. Google gives more value to related links. Still, if the difference is very large let's say DA 15 vs DA 40 I would choose DA 40.

I would go with B option. Just my thing.

To work this out, I would actually look at your current backlink profile.

There is a benefit for each A and B, so I would determine it based on what your link profile currently lacks.

Other ways to help work it out is your specific niche, I feel some niches get a bit more hit from niche related links, but I would still give more weight to your current backlink profile to find the answer.
If niche related is hard to get for your niche, then take the opportunity to get it when you can.

Well, the website is new (1 mo old). I just started building backlinks. So, very low backlink profile. I guess I'll just try to mix it up a little. Is just that getting links in my niche is super expensive and tbh I don't think is worth it.

Well in that case I wouldn't bother paying a lot more for the niche related ones, I also might not even go for either links just yet as your site is very new. But a lower DA link might look more natural to begin with.

Be careful with your link velocity at the start while you build some diversity first, I prefer to play it super safe for the first couple of months, sticking to simple things like social, bookmarking, web 2.0s before I hit it with anything actually 'Good'

I don't get like super awesome backlinks, but a minimum of 15 DA. Just trying to build a solid base. Anyhow, still intrested in more opinions. Also I'm getting like 5-10 backlinks first month, then 10-15, then third one more and so on. I won't spam it with hundreds of backlinks from the first month, taking baby steps

Always go for a niche related websites. Relevancy matters in backlinks. Else google doesn't count the backlinks.

Agree with @Ftr Your domain is new so, your backlinks won't look natural and all your hard work will go into vain.

But, if I build Web 2.0, Won't they be useless? Or should I make some Web 2.0 and Get some backlinks to them? Thanks.

would suggest niche back links, more effective.

For this type of question, only google knows, and all we can do is guess.

You said (15-20) and (25-40), these are very wide ranges of possible DA, you could have:
- 15 vs 40 in which case B probably wins,
- or 20 vs 25 in which case A probably wins.

Also are you getting a homepage link, probably not? So the difference in DA changes once we get internal pages, and PA is to be considered, not DA. So what are the PA going to be? PA of a new page is 1, is it a new page, how long will it take to know PA? In other words just giving a DA is not enough, where is the link?

What we know is DA is correlated to the strength of a domain, and we also know relevancy is correlated to the strength of a link. So clearly this is a tradeoff and it is a matter of your personal beliefs.

More recently top SEOs are saying relevancy in links is getting big, so yes choose relevancy usually (A), but this is not a 100% rule.

And as some may add (I said it first), DA is only 1 metric among many to determine the strength of a link, so there are many other things to look at. And yes relevancy is one of the main things to look at.

I'd go with A.
