Question about Backlinks from other language

I have .com domain which I didn't use for like 2 years.I previously used it in a German website.(German Language). I didn't let this domain drop because this is the first domain I ever bought in my IM career. Domain has good backlink profile from German language websites. 90% of them are niche related German backlinks.

So is it okay to build a english website using this domain in the same niche? Will it have any negative impact to due to high percentage of links from german sites?

No, this is getting less and less acceptable. If you are using this for a PBN, i would not bother at all. if this is your money site, buying a domain like this, I would keep it in the language all the backlinks are in .

Yes it will have a negative impact since a high percentage of backlinks are from german site and your new website is an English one.
