Hello all,

I have a question about link building for authority website.

If your blog have 500+ post how do you manage your seo, do you target most the homepage, then the categories? Or do you build links to each post? I'm a little lost when I think about my seo on big website.

Thanks,

Dioufteo

You must concentrate your work on the main page. That's the page that should get the most pagerank from your links.
Once the homepage received pagerank, that pagerank will "flow" through to the rest of the site.
This is why your inside links must be do-follow.

What are YOU going for? Is your home page that brings in the $$? Is it a subpage that rakes in the cash? YOU gotta target what is right for you, no use asking this general question!

My blog is not finished and I've not started my seo on it, so I don't know if I need to mostly concentrate on homepage or subpages for this number of posts

As bartosimpsonio said it depends on what you are actually targeting. Anyway, be smart. If you target some subpage, don't blast it with million of links when leaving the other pages without them. Slowly build manual backlinks to many pages of your web and concentrate on your target as well.
