I am not sure if this is the right place to post this if not please move thread wherever.

I just have a quick question about amazon associates. I have been building a website for the last year or so and finally I am getting decent traffic from it. Is it okay to add amazon affiliate links or are they going to mess with my ranking in any way?? I do not want to get a google slap from adding a handful of affiliate links. Is google okay with amazon affiliate links?

Well look at it this way, if you don't do it, you won't be earning any money.

Give them a nofollow tag. Should be fine.

As long as the website isn't junk and you're providing useful info, then why do you think Google would penalise you?

Put the links mate. Most of the websites are made to generate profits so Google is pretty cool with that as long as you add value as well. No-follow the links is a must.

Thanks for the answers. I have adsense on them but they are only making like 3 bucks a day and I want to start making more finally. Yes the content is pretty good I wrote it myself and it is useful.

Will add no follow tags to them and see what happens.

If the site was a week old I would say no, but I think you'll be perfectly fine.

Google doesn't like the store type amazon affiliate websites. A website full of good content with an affiliate link here and there will be fine, nofollow the links.
