I remember reading about something like this ages ago but is there a script or a way around the problem of sending the visitor to its own countries amazon site as I have mostly USA traffic but also traffic from various other countries. Thanks.

If not, do you think 2/3 buttons would work? eg 1 button for .com, 1 for .co.uk and another for .es

Yes, I'd recommend you using EasyAzon it automatically redirects the visitors to the best suited Amazon "store" for them. You can also find a script for this on GibHub if you have experience with that stuff - I don't, so I prefer to use the WP plugin!

I also use Easyazon for this. You do still have to sign up for an account with each different Amazon country. I only use US, UK and Canada as that's where most of my traffic comes from.
