Question about Adsense Site

Hello everyone, not sure if this is the correct place to post this or not(sorry if not) but, I just have a simple question that someone here could possibly answer and I'd greatly appreciate it.

So, I've been doing some Keyword research and found a couple of Keywords that I want to build a site around and monetize through Adsense. One particular Keyword gets 27k Searches a Month. Has a CPC of 2 dollars and the Ad Competition is Low, and when I go into Google and look for the exact keyword, it returns less than 500k results

The second Keyword has 5k monthly searches, but also has a low ad competition and has less than 300k exact searches on Google. And I can get an EMD with this keyword which includes the original keyword inside.

And upon researching the top 10, there are several pages with a PR0, with little to no backlinks making it highly possible to rank on the top 10

My only concern is the low ad competition for the Keywords, is that an issue? or should I not worry and just let Big G take care of it by filling in appropriate ads and still be able to monetize from the traffic?

The problem is, Low competition means there aren't a lot of advertisers wanting to advertise for that keyword. If you did rank this site, google wouldn't be able to show appropriate ads so your CPC would be much lower that $2 because the ads that would show up would not be for that keyword. Also because the ads won't be relevant to the site you will likely get a much lower CTR which again means less earnings. It's not a wise move really, you should be trying to find some with high competition. I you can always check how many advertisers there are for your keyword using http://www.spyfu.com/

I agree with Xene, I started my MNS not knowing much about keyword research and I grew it and ranked it appropriately. It's now sitting on Page 1 for most of my keywords, but I didn't realize that there are only 4 advertisers paying for this keyword. That means my CPC is not the $1.70 that I was expecting - but $0.20-$0.30. I get plenty of clicks daily but I am only getting around $10-12 a day. Really not very good, considering how many visitors I get.

Yeah, my keyword only has 2 advertisers....but, I went with it anyway because Its a product, and I can use an Amazon Affiliate and Ebay to try and monetize the site, especially with how easy it will be to rank. Thanks for the help guys.
