Because on the long run White Hat is always better and you just need to think about what the SEO . When you do it blackhat , you need to think about the SEO , Covering your track , this and that , dont over doing it to not get sandboxed , and all those stuff
It always depends on the niche , the keywords and how fast you want your site to go up on the serps
