Hi as we all know there are a lot of "stolen" images being uploaded to Instagram daily by millions of users, now I was thinking about growing my own account but what are the chances of getting sued from uploading pictures to Instragram found on Google? I have personally not heard about any people getting sued over that but I realize it is a problem since you don't have the copyrights. All I want is some opinions or answers on this, no trolls pls.

I've been growing my account for the last 2 months and i've been using images from Tumblr, Pinterest and other similar platforms. No one has ever accused me of stealing or anything like this. Everyone "steals" pictures and uses them. In the worst case scenario, they will ask you to mention them in some way on your picture, like tagging or mentioning in the description.

This is just my opinion, maybe someone experienced getting sued.

Hah thanks for that, yeah I thought I should just ask anyways since a friend made a comment about it last night to me.

A simple DMCA request will destroy your account. You're wasting your time by posting other people's images. Unless you manage to go for a long time but the longer you go and the more perceived profit, the higher the chances you'll get sued. Either way it's not a long term strategy.

hmm that is interesting, I see people using stolen images on facebook daily even pages with hundreds of thousands of likes on them, my plan is just to get a solid follower base and then have people send me their pictures to have them featured on my channel if that makes sense?

Not accurate, a lot of successful businesses on Instagram use other peoples content for anywhere from 20-70% of uploads.

It is possible but the chances of someone that will actually take their time to do that is extremely slim.
Almost every account is recycling other people's images, it's nearly impossible to get rid of all of them.
Most people won't even care if you use your photos as long as you tag them, more followers to them in return, everyone's happy.

You're probably safe, just give credit where credit is due. Tag them or something. Also depends what kind of pictures you're stealing. If it's a photographers or something like that, thenits probably riskier. If it's memes or something like that, you should be fine,
