I am having a nightmare with my GSC at the moment.
Currently, my main keyword for a new website started off very well, but after about a month it died out completely and disappeared from both google search console and actual SERP.
As you can see in the picture above, although it didn't have much clicks, it had okay impression in early December.
When I started link building in January 2024, however, the keyword started yielding less impressions eventually dying out by mid January.
I don't think I over did link building as well since the domain was not brand new (about 3 years old) and they were only 5 guest posts and some diversity links (about 30 ish web 2.0 links)
Recently, another problem arose.

Here is the different longtail keyword I am trying to rank. It was going well until end of January, when it started to yield mobile impressions only. Strangely, let's say the keyword is "AB CD". When I search "ABCD", I am ranked about 9th, but when searching for "AB CD", I am ranked about 19th. Why is my intended keyword weaker...?

So here is the big question I am trying to look for, what causes queries to disappear? And what can be done to make them resurface?

When your keywords disappear in Google Search Console, it could be due to different reasons like algorithm changes or competition. Look into your strategy, create good content, and keep an eye on any changes to help bring your keywords back.

Keywords can disappear due to penalties, crawl issues, content changes, seasonal trends, or competitor actions. Investigate and address these factors as needed for better rankings.

It's nothing concerning. Google normally prioritizes new websites for a while then dumps them if they don't perform well by gathering enough clicks and links.
