[QUE] SEO 2013 - what's working now????

I've been outta the SEO side of the game the last 2 years.

What's been working since the last penguin update?

What's still relevant?

My current plan of attack: Blogs, Linkbait, Social Sigs, linkwheel, Author ranking, Optimized Video

AM I missing anything?

fresh content working for me...i had good success with people here in the services section...i get 400 words or so and then tweak/add my own spin to it...i then release one a day or so...i'm slowly making videos from the transcripts as well. you can do a lot with articles, like pdf them at put them on scribd etc. spend $20 and try it out.

Backlinks from none spammy and authority websites that have PR 3+ and Alexa 200,000 in small quantities (3-7 per week) will help your rankings. On the other hand backlinks from low quality and spammy websites will most likely hurt your website's rankings, and later on you will have to go through troublesome process of removing those backlinks in order to regain your previous rankings. The best way to find those high quality sources that you can get backlinks from I found is by analyzing backlinks of the competition that ranks better than my site. You can use programs like Majestic SEO, iBacklinkPRO etc to analyze your competitors' backlinks. I hope this helps.
