I want to use interspire email marketer for autoresponder and mailing pursposes.
Can't afford to use monthly fees for autoresponders. Will be legit site, want to build list.

I have hostgator shared hosting. But seen some posts telling they got their account
banned when some legit subscribers marked them as spam. Just one or two spam button
click and hosting account gone.. making me nervous.

So, I am concerned about it.
Any thoughts about this?

I would just not chance it.

If you can just imagine the hassle of having to migrate all your website when you were not expecting it, all because one or two spam button got clicked.

Some info from live chat support:

There is a 500 outgoing email hourly limit per domain. Any mailing list over 900 email addresses is only allowed to be sent to during off-peak times to prevent high server loads. Off peak times qualify as all day Saturday and Sunday, and 1AM - 8AM Eastern Standard Time, Monday through Friday. Any mailing list larger than 5,000 addresses will require a dedicated hosting solution from us. Also, dividing one large list into smaller lists to get below this limit is not allowed.

If you can prove that they actually signed up for your services...with a double-opt in list, there is usually no problem.

Any settings I can configure on interspire for this for now?
I think I'll move my lists later as it grows bigger. Please some suggestions
from who are experienced in this.
