Do you think learning quantum programming is prommising for making money in the future? Much like ai programming was in the past :)

It is very much already happening, all the big companies already have a deadline of about 2025 to deploy a quantum computer-resistant encryption, I guess you could not call that programming exactly, but it's definitely advancing quickly
Wow I didnt know that, thank you for sharing do you see quantum computing as something worth learning? What I mean by that is if you think that careers in quantum computing will be on the rise similar as AI cereers are now?

If I had to guess I would say it will take much longer to be used in day-to-day life, there is just too much software that is based on today's CPU architecture.
There is a lot of other cool stuff happening too, different companies are entering the chip production, like the https://amperecomputing.com/products/processors which already works really well, qualcomm competing with apples M1 (and beating it).
My guess would be the diamond chips, as there are already studies showing they can reach 100GHz , and lab grown diamonds are becoming easier to produce, heck maybe Elon or Bezos mines a diamond meteor soon, who knows haha

What do you mean Quantum Programming?

Here's some reference for you if you want to find out more about quantum mechanics.

Will it make you money? Perhaps? First find out what it is.

If you want to be a programmer, look into software engineering in general. Don't worry about "quantum programming" yet, if I may say so.

Before you start, leran the difference between electrical and qantum computers. Note, they solve differen tasks.

you can theorize about what you can do with a quantum computer all you want, but what are you actually doing in reality with it? so far, not much. hence, not practical. if i'm wrong, show me what magical thing has been done with a quantum computer and i'll yield. so far nothing is interesting.

it's really expensive to cool down the qubits, then running a calculation heats them up too much to reuse right away so it takes time to cool them down again, and many are destroyed by the calculation. and the worst part is that the calculations they've tested aren't even complex, they're like 1+1=2, so there's been nothing impressive.

what i've learned is that investors are pulling out, and for good reason. the theory is one thing, putting that theory into action is another. it takes huge gobs of money to make these computers function at the intended capacity. i'm sure there's some illuminati level investor who has gotten something interesting from it, but the average person? sorry, but this shit is light years away from fruition.

i assume he means things like Q#, Qiskit etc
Hmm probably. But he seems to have no clue what he is looking for, and it would be better if he started with the basics first.
