How important is it to "Claim Your Site"... you know when you check out the ranking at those site and they ask you "If this is your site?"

I'm sure it doesn't hurt, but does it help in regards with your SERP's?

The importance of claiming your site with those places is so that when you are selling your website to someone else, and they want to see proof of traffic, then they can confirm it with quantcast, compete, etc.

As far as serp rankings go they don't have an effect on it, but having a sitemap on your website WILL help your rankings.

quantcast will give you more detailed, accurate and detailed script if you let them quantify ur website. Alexa uses toolbar data and so does compete. Compete also buys data from isps.
You do get a backlink from each enough to get you indexed. I dont feel it will help you much in your rankings. But links are always good to get, even if they have less value, in large numbers they'll help you over a period of time.
