Hey everyone, wondering if you can help. I'm currently on a shared hosting plan with GoDaddy. I've got 2 small websites on there at the moment; traffic is below 1,000 unique visitors per month and they're not taking up much storage space. I'm having 2 problems, (1) Initial loads to the websites are horribly slow. Not that they've admitted it, but it feels like my websites (or hosted area) are parked to sleep until they're accessed, and after that point they run and load fine. (2) When I try and upload/delete anything big or small, mainly images, I have a HTTP error and the website goes down. When checking resources, Memory and I/O Usage are both at 100%, which in turn breaks the website. Surely uploading/deleting an image shouldn't crash the website? Anyways, TLDR; I'm looking for reliable hosting. I just think GoDaddy (and similar hosting companies) provide for the masses and try to cram as many clients onto the 1 server as possible; the consequence of this is that the quality and reliability of the service is crap. Thanks in advance for any advice or help that you can give.

I recommend you go with ovh.co.uk. I think the VPS Cloud will be right for you. Web Hosting is sharing resources and CPU, if your website is growing you should use VPS for now.
Bought VPS on ovh.co.uk, it can be easily installed with a panel (ispmanager if you want something cheap, or cpanel).
Stay away from web hosting, if you want performance and speed. Unless if you want to stay on web hosting you need to purcharse the best premium plan on OVH.
On OVH you will be fine, they have Firewall and DDoS Protection.
If you want something more "powerful"
Kimsufi.com is a great and good choice!

Maybe they are allocated some resource for you,which are not enough for your current number of visitor. Thats why your experience resource using 100% and showing error page.At present number of your visitor ,VPS or Small cloud resource is appropriate for your site.But remember that dedicated resources sever have manged by you if you are not selected managed server.
