Quality traffic?

on all of the networds I am on they mention quality traffic, and not getting paid if you do not have quality traffic.

How do you know the quality of your traffic?

I am getting remarkable numbers on one offer, andthis site in particular is advertised on adwords but is also ranked number 8 for its keywords

Anything adwords is all US traffic with very specific keywords,

Will you get warnings if you are not passing good traffic or will they just ban you?

Thanks to paypal and adsense and google, I have become overly paranoid of the ban hammer. first adwords acct was suspended because I mistyped one number in my billing card and they wont/cant ususpend

No I don't think they would ban you. In terms of traffic like you said it depends on the traffic you are ranking for and how relevant your website is for that traffic.

For the most part my traffic is very targeted, I started ranking well for a few long tail keywords that are related, just not directly related if that makes any sense.

But I just dont see anyway of controlling your quality of traffic other then attempting to drive as much targeted as I can, but when it comes to the organic traffic I have no way of controlling

Really depends on how you're promoting it. If you have a site to accompany your offer, make sure you explain the offer well. If you have a site that promotes an e-mail submit and you say some crazy shit like, "Get 10 FREE iPads JUST for enter your e-mail! No strings attached!" you may get a lot of conversions, but totally crap traffic because they will all leave once they realize they have to fill out 20+ additional offers.

However, if you say, "Get an iPad for entering your e-mail and completing a few free trial offers of some amazing products" then you may get less conversions, but your quality will be higher and you can run with the advertiser longer.

It really depends on your short-term and long-term goals. You can set up a site that completely deceives the visitor into filling out the offer, get a ton of conversions, and get banned, then start over. Or you can set up a site that is honest and provides good traffic to the advertiser. Less conversions, but you could offset that by promoting more offers.

Or you can mix the two. =]
