I see so many threads about 1,2,3,4k links this and that, but I think people have forgotten that quality > quantity.

When building or buying your links, don't worry about how many they are offering (10K) worry about what kind of quality is being offered.

I have quite a few clients from different services I offer ask the same thing. All my sites ranked on the first page of G have 1/10 of the links and 1/5 of the age of the competition.

Amen to that. I could't agree more. If you are spamming make sure you spam correctly too. I've seen these services offering xrumer blast that uses naked links instead of anchored text. Waste of time and money.

Yep -

Quality > Quantity

The easy days of SB and XR spam have long passed.
Can they still work? Sure... But now it requires much more finesse and
work to get those crappy links to make stuff move in the SERPs.

A solid foundation of quality backlinks will set your website apart from the rest.

Now adays linking slowly and steady and building unique content (700words at least) is the only way to go.

The climate really is set up against spammers and crazy link builders. Does anyone remember the old lists of literally hundreds of thousands of emails and text links? Those were dark times, and it made the internet such an increasingly shitty place.

The search engines are clearing house, so if you're legitimate, this is great news for your competitiveness

Search engines listed internet sites according to certain excellent quality aspects. Quality of back links is one of them. It is very important to do the website connecting in a natural way and worry on the excellent quality of back links.

I agree with OP. But nowdays most the low quality links are done to buffer site. Or Tier3-4.

But I always wonder if any of big established players ever use mass blog commenting etc?

Well said man. The only time where I say quantity > quality is for my 2nd and 3rd tier links. Sure, technically having 100000 high PR, quality links, pointing to your tier 1 links would be nice, but it isn't realistic (unless you've got a SHIT load of money to invest).

But otherwise, you're completely right. It's funny to see people around here ordering 10000 scrapebox links directly to their money site, only to complain after that it did nothing for their rankings.

Agreed. Quality links take more work and costs more. A single quality link can easily outprice 10000 shitty SB links.

I got caught up in this fivver stuff this week. I only have $20.00 to spend to get SOME kind of links. I thought it was heaven...... not so much :(

You have to spin you own article WELL and buy an Senuke if you're gonna use Fiverr. Basically you have to know as much almost than if you were Senuking it yourself.

With fiverr, there's good and bad; it sometimes costs a little money to figure out which is which.

Well I dont think you can really get quality links now a days. But than again whats quality? Pr2+ links with less than 20 outgoing links from the same nitche?

There are only 2 things I can think of for quality links
1)guest posting

2)buying high pr domain and hosting it with some high quality article pointing to your site.

things I dont consider to be high quality
blog comments/forum posts and profiles/ 2.0s./articles

The only way I can get those PR2+ is by guest blogging. But been turned down most of the time because my site is PR 0 :(

Screwed...

And private blog networks are $$$, so web 2.0 it is :(

Quality for money site and quantity for tiers. It's work like a charm. :D
