Doesn't matter what the source of the traffic is or what they're looking for. If you have buffering time your bounce rate just went way up.

I'm not talking huge difference here. I'll be hosting my own vids and can't decide between CRF 23 and CRF 25. CRF 23 requires about 100 KB/s to play and CRF 25 requires 80 KB/s. The quality difference is noticeable so wanna go with 23.

I'm aware of that but my high quality requires about 100 KB/s of bandwidth so a 1 Mbit DSL (128KB/s) should handle it just fine.

It doesn't take a big difference. People have no attention span in general. Less so in a niche like porn, I'd imagine.
Your best bet is to test and see. But I can almost guarantee you if your average user has a buffer time the bounce rate will be high.

I don't think there is much difference between crf 25 and crf 23, if you are using ffmpeg. IMO viewers can really notice the difference if crf value is 29. So if 23 gives you better loading time you should choose it, especially for porn. I myself rather watch a bit low quality with no buffer video. You don't want to wait when you fapping.
