Does anybody actually offer a proper link building service that isn't just automated spam rubbish.

I've tried several so called link building services and they all use directory\mass blog spam etc.

I'm looking for something that will produce quality links crafted for the site, rathere than mass spam?

A very good serp boosting solution are quality blog networks (PR2+) with ALL unique content. Basically you make it look like a link bait where everyone talks about you. What you need to do is find such a network and then create up to 100 unique articles to be posted. You can spin them - don't do it with a software, make it readable otherwise there's a high chance google will discount the links (For 100 unique articles I would write (or get written) 5 articles and then create a spinner article out of them. When spinning also make sure the length of the text varies. Don't let all the articles be 400 words long, make some 100, some 240, some 323...you get the idea. Google looks for these things, so make them appear natural.

When linking back to your website in the text, vary the anchor with a buffer. Ex, if you're targeting "buy acai berry", you can have anchors such as "buy acai berry here", "purchase acai berry", "buy acai berry bottle"...

Apart from link buying and A-B, C-D (untraceable) link exchange this is one of the best SERP boosting solutions. It may take you a few hours to prepare everything, but it's well worth it. The keypoint is finding that QUALITY blog network. Always check the blogs if pages are indexed (if the domains aren't banned), if the PR is fake, domain age (the older the better), design (if they all appear the same, a manual inspection from google may trigger some flags) and that they have READABLE content (it doesn't need to have quality articles, but they need to be humanly readable and not some mumbo jumbo created by a software spinner).

Basically you need to be searching for something like linkvana.com. They have such a network, but they want a monthly fee. Those who are willing to spend the amount may join them. For the rest, go out to google, dp, webmasterworld and similar. If you look hard enough you'll find them.
