Quality Backlink Tools?

Does anybody know of a good tool that can analyze all the backlinks to a given site correctly?

Tried a number of them out there, such as Yahoo Site Explorer and Google Backlink Analyzer and most of them are way off in their count.

For example I had a blog and I have over 100 backlinks to it from other blogs, social bookmarking sites, etc. The tools only give my 29 backlinks in their count. I mean it's way off and if I try to look at my competitors the results are highly inaccurate too.

So could anybody suggest a legit method of finding the backlinks of your competitors? Any tools that you know that are accurate?

Its also possible that your other backlinks didn't get crawled yet and hence not counted by SE's.

Actually I have a question about this. I am more of a PPC guy and do not have as much SEO experience.

The tools show 29 backlinks. I have 110 that I know I posted to be exact. How long does it usually take all of them to get indexed?
 
depends how you did them could take months before they appear if you want to speed it up you can ping the pages with your link and they should get indexed quicker.

So basically it's a very long process? I didn't ping them, was just making bookmarks and blog posts on ******** sites. This actually sucks having so many links and only such a small amout got indexed over the course of over a month.

before your backlinks show up, you will notice an increase in the SERPS. all backlink tools will display different amounts, but your ultimately after a SERP increase regardless.
 
Surely without them being listed in SEs you aren't ever gonna know what sites link back to you. No program out there is able to crawl the web as thoroughly as an SE so you will have to go by their figures. One way of getting them to show up quicker is to ping the pages that link to you and / or bookmark the pages that link to you so they have a bit more link weight and increase the value of these links.

Ultimately though Yahoo is about the only tool worth using, also at the end of the day its just a figure and you are better off spending your time getting more links.

Google is very unreliable showing backlinks. One of my blogs has around 4000 backlinks. Yahoo and backlinkwatch shows them all. Google shows only 111.

Also, SeoQuake is awesome like someone mentioned. I use it a lot for determining how many backlinks my competitors have.

You know it is truly ridiculous even with these tools! Like when I see my hubpages, blogger blogs, wetpaint sites indexed in SERP's but not of the tools show these sites as backlinks.

The only thing the tools show is squidoo lenses, bringr, xanga, postsonfire, hatedorloved and another couple of social bookmarking sites.

Pretty funny actually in terms of accuracy when a search engine indexes hubpages and etc, but the tools do not count them as a part of backlink list.
