1. Prioritize your users
Google rolls out algorithm updates hundreds of times in a year to continue improving the search experience for its users. The search engine aims to serve the most relevant information to users. It only follows that if you want to do SEO for website visibility, you want to take a more user-focused approach to your design and content. A huge part of your site’s search ranking has to do about what visitors do when they land on your website. It’s no longer enough to get users to come to your site. You need to make them stick around and read or interact with your content.

2. An irresistible title and meta description helps
Having said that, it’s also important to make a good first impression for you to be able to get a user to come to your website. The first thing that a user sees about your website when coming from any search engine is your page title and meta description. You want to optimize these elements to entice users to go into your website. The best website builder for SEO will have integrated tools where you can edit your meta title and description to reflect your content. Ideally, you want to provide an accurate description of your site’s content on your meta description and title. However, clickbait will not work because we go back to the first item of getting users to stay longer with relevant content. If your meta does not have anything to do with your content, users will quickly leave your site upon landing.

3. Create long-form content
Users have gotten smarter in their consumption of information from the internet. When they take the time to read a page, they expect to see authoritative and well-written content. Blogging is an important element of SEO website optimization. It enables you to add fresh content to your website regularly. To attract customers, you want to come off as a reliable and knowledgeable brand. Providing answers to consumer challenges surrounding your niche is a good way to establish trust and confidence in your brand. By long-form content, we don’t mean 2000 word empty articles that do not really mean much. Don’t waste your reader’s time with wordy content. Make your material meaty and worth his time. And while you’re at it, make sure that the length of the content does not affect readability. Making your content easier on the eye is another tip on how to SEO your website.

4. Break text into sections and headlines
Long-form content is good but doesn’t forget about user experience when planning the content layout on your website. Breaking text into headlines, sections and points make it easy to digest and understand. Learning how to SEO a website properly means keeping your user at the top of your mind. Imagine how your user will navigate through the information you have on your website when you plan content. Make the experience easy and enriching for them. For instance, you can write a descriptive title like “Becca’s Delicacy” and below that, you can add sections to give your audience a series of delicacies they can choose from and how it's made. Instead of just writing multiple paragraphs, make sure to delight your readers with the best techniques in presenting your content as simple and concise as it is.

5. High-Quality Content is the Key
Content is the heart of your website. Some say it is king. There is one thing you should not miss when you add content to your website. High-quality content can help you in improving SEO. Produce content that is meaty and relevant to the set of keywords you’ve used. After all, high-quality content is most likely to be shared and frequently visited by your visitors. Take time to add blog content, tell a story, share helpful tips, and enlighten your visitors with fresh ideas they are looking for.

6. Connect a Domain
Having your own domain can help your site to look more professional and trustworthy. Business owners, bloggers, and talented individuals with their own portfolio websites know this by fact. If you have your own domain, you are simply telling your audience how sincere you are in providing them the best experience on your website.

7. Share your Site
Constantly share your site on other websites with related content or products. You can also promote your site to your social media and instantly gain traffic from your followers and friends online. Use site links to easily connect your site to another website through a friendly collaboration or commission. Collaboration is one ideal way on how to increase your SEO. You’re helping one another by inserting hyperlinks that will connect your audience to related content they need.

Very good tips

These tips are a pure gem, my friend. Thanks for sharing!

Anybody starting off with content creation must follow them.

Don't want to discourage you from posting good stuff, but...

It's always a good idea to credit the original source whenever you're sharing content created by another person/website. It builds trust among your readers that you're confident in telling them you didn't write it.

This could be another small piece of advice for content writers.

In this case, here's the source: https://www.strikingly.com/content/blog/how-to-improve-website-seo-in-2020/

Great tips you just shared there.. I bet someone is bagging some lessons to apply on their business from it

Thanks for this awesome guide!

As far as my experience goes, it’s all about number one: you have to prioritize the needs of your users.

People enter keywords and phrases into Google for a reason.

Let me tell you: none of those reasons have anything to do with you making money.

It’s all about them.

So if you are able to serve your users’ interest first by zeroing in on the intent behind the keywords that you're targeting and serving up the right content, you will be rewarded by Google, as well as by the community of users that will go to your site for certain types of information.

It really doesn’t get any simpler than that.

You are absolutely correct; you have to prioritize your users—their need comes first.

This reminds me of the old saying, “people are not going to care about what you know until they know that you care.”

And the best way to show search engine users that you care is to actually deliver on the intent behind the keywords that they enter to find your pages.

This has been debunked so many times, I can outrank your site with the best content in the world with a site filled with a site on an old domain and gibberish garbage or dup content.

Content is not even the joker when it comes to SEO, let alone king!
