im in movie niche ... uploading movies trailers or " top 5 horror movies of 2018 - 2019 " .... need some traffic
 
based on my little experience on youtube SEO and ranking your video is just like ranking your site and the most important thing is the backlink of your video after you have done the video on-page SEO like keywords in the title, description, and the tag and remember the thumbnail of your video go a long way and share your videos on social media and be consistent in your uploading because the more you upload and the more subscribers you get, the better for your video to get more recommendations

is it good to use something like GSA ser to create links to your vid? or is this seen as spam by YT?

There's a site I use to help me get tags for my videos based off of my chosen keywords. I choose 2-3 keywords, and copy pasta them into my keywords, and build a title and description around that.
