I have a decent understanding of SEO in general, especially HOW to build backlinks (tiered linking), however I have a question based on a setup.
Say I have a MNS or Authority site I'm working on with Wordpress.
    Now here's my setup:
    myurl < home static page
    myurl/keyword1 < article post
    myurl/long-tail-keyword2 < article post #2
    ....
    myurl/long-tail-kw5 < article post #5

My question is when building Web 2.0 (tier 1) backlinks, do I create a profile for each page or just towards the home page?

    Thanks

Target your main domain if you're using vastly different keywords. If they're all LSI keywords, then I'd target keyword 1, as the long tail keywords would be positively effected by this.

You can do legit article submission and site listings, social, guest blog postings, PR and such directly to your main url, (obviously as long as it's not spammy in regards to quantity or quality). This will diversify your links, and should make it appear more natural.

The real question would be, when is it enough tier 1's for one keyword?
