[Q] How to get a link at referenceDotCom

Hi guys,

I was looking at the backlinks of my competitors and i noticed that they almost all share the fact that they have links at referenceDotCom.
However, i have no idea how to acquire a link on that website.

Does anyone have any experience with this?
Do you submit articles somewhere? Check for broken links?

go to the reference.com, type your keyword and naked url of your site and hit enter. this should create a backlink for you. ex :" keyword example.com"
you can also do the same thing with ask.com

reference.com and ask.com index web pages just like Google. If you have decent content and have some traffic then they will index your site too without doing anything.

So do you have to do that to get the link generated? Or is that just checking that they know about your site?
