[Q] free web hosting?

Hi, could I get suggestions for free web hosting possibilities?

what kind of hosting are you looking for. if you just want a static website, you can use netlify and gatsby but you'll need some programming experience.


otherwise there's always 000webhost
 
InfinityFree.net works well enough for small websites. I run a Wordpress website with them now. Setup and cpanel works smoothly. This site has at most 1000 visitors per day right now, but I image it'll hit some sort of limit as it scales: https://infinityfree.net/support/hits-limit/

WordPress.com also I guess if you run Wordpress.

Waooo...1,000 visit a day on a free hosting service? Can you share your loading speed time?
 
Best advice one could give you about "free web hosting" is Don't do it - save yourself the headache because a headache is inevitable with that (and you're lucky if a headache is all you escape with)

It’s not as cool as it sounds; it's just low-quality traffic I'm running from manual traffic exchanges. This is an experimental platform, which I think is a good use for sites on free hosting. =)

I have a loading speed of 2.93s according to tools.pingdom.com, with a Google PageSpeed insights score of 40/100. I didn’t realise how bad it was before you asked. I’ve never thought about optimising it for this site. Probably the mining script has something to do with it, because my theme is BlankSlate (about as minimalistic one can get with WordPress), I have almost no plugins installed and the landing page should be light.

Some more stats and info for those interested:
  • The landing page has a large-font list of links to free money-making resources like YouTube channels and blogs, with my own blog at the top
  • 2m average session duration and 90% bounce rate according to Google Analytics. This is interesting because the surf timer at trafficadbar, which is the main traffic exchange I’m using, is 10 seconds. Theoretically I should have near 10s avg. session duration and almost 100% bounce rate
  • A-ADS gives me like 1 Satoshi per view for a 468x60 ad unit. Not the greatest way to get rich =)
  • Browser mining with CoinIMP gives me pretty much nothing. I’ve been toying with the idea of sending automated traffic. I know Otohits have a 10m timer, for instance
  • This actually gets a decent Domain Score of 65, at least according to free tools like checkpagerank.net. Not sure if I’m missing something here:

Yeah, i was guessing something similar. I didn´t though you will have a fully optimized and monetized website receiving 1k visitors a day on a free hosting regardless of how good it is.

Still, considering all this and taking into account you have everything running on a free hosting it´s kind of impressive. This tells a lot about the hosting provider. If they are able to offer this with their free plan their paid ones should be even better.

I've only used InfinityFree for their free hosting and free domains so far, so it hasn't come up. Sorry. Anyone else have experience with transferring paid domains to InfinityFree's hosting @mahmud daud?

The only useful information I can add is that I use their .epizy.com extention for free my site, which seems to work well. My paid hosting and domain is with BlueHost right now.

I figure it out! Got a free domain from freenom and was able to link it to InfinityFree.

My paid hosting and domain is with BlueHost right now.
