Hey,

Been dabbing into casino and iGaming side of affiliate game. However, there are still a few questions that I cannot find an answer to.

1. I noticed from spying on other affiliates, that many of them do it through the fake Google Play store where they ask person to download the .apk and install it on their phone.

What's the exact purpose behind this besides just collecting more customer data and potentially sending push notifications.

Also what does it take to develop something like this?

I guess they're just browser mirrors with the ability to do some pop/push and remind people to gamble and deposit more thus affiliate gets more Rev Share, if I'm correct here?

Alternatively, why these affiliates wouldn't just cloak their landing page and send traffic through a lander?

2. Why do affiliate managers mostly ask for iOS traffic if you're advertising on facebook? It has happened already a handful of times where I'm asked whether I'm gonna send iOS or Android traffic and then I got different CPA/payouts for both.

Are iOS users just more likely to deposit.

3. And lastly - what's the difference between casinos themselves? What makes one casino more attractive than other - or in other words - how do i spot a good offer/casino?

And overall, is Casino affiliate + Facebook ads still a doable strategy these days and is the "app" way only way to make it work these days?

Thanks!

Good questions @lyoku

1. It's not easy to get on the Play Store, especially for iGaming. The reason for using .apk files is for push notifications. Now, there's a new method called PWA (Progressive Web App) browser, which also supports push notifications but is based on the browser.

2. iOS has higher LTV (Lifetime Value) data statistics.

3. There's not much difference between casinos. The key point is who provides you with the most efficient support. By the way, I am also the head of the affiliate department for our Southeast Asia brand.
