[Q] Adsense and Copied content ?

Hello there,

I have seen a few really big blogs that use copied content from other sites and just providing source link at the bottom of the article and they are running google ads.

I have followed them for months and they seem to have no problems.

Haven't google banned for duplicated content or i'm missing something ?

Yeah... And what about "thin content"? I've seen blogs with nothing but a title and a gif per post (and ads). And they also don't seem to have a problem. Running like that for more than 6 months already.

Or static sidebar with ads? Seen couple of these as well. That's also not allowed from what I know.
Or 9gag with pop-up ads? I understand they are big players and all that but come on man!
List goes on...

I'm glad for guys managing to get away with that kind of stuff, but rules should be same for all of us.

Buying dozen of adsense accounts and spamming the living shit out of social networks with spinned titles and scraped gifs/images might not be such a bad idea after all. G00gle man...

If no ones reports you you are fine.
If you are looking to use content from very competitive niches be sure your adsense will get banned.

example: if you copy like buzzfeed shit you will never have a problem, as they don't care and they will not wait the time to report 1000's of sites every day.

A lot of AdSense blogs use (that is, copy) content from article directories. Since they have permission to do that, it's complies with Google's rules (up to a point). However, they don't last very long, and they're not making a single dime.

Yes, as like wizard stated above you have no problem until they report you for this. But, Google has a very strict policy regarding content. If the webpage you have ads on has copyrighted material, it will ban you from AdSense.

I haven't had any issues using an article directory, but I also use a big mix of origional content too so less than 25% is copied.

They won`t get shut down, but Google will give a higher rank to the original content. And, if someone files a DMCA, they can get in legal troubles.
