[Q] About 301 Domain Redirects.

Hello there.

I've got some pretty old domains which i am not using right now. There are about 10 domains which are 6 months old.

I'm curious if the 301 redirect method is still working ?

I plan to blast the domains with GSA SER, then 301 redirect to my money site... Will that work after the newest update of the G?

Also to redirect them to inner pages which i'm trying to rank or to redirect them to the home page?

Of course, the 301 redirect technique still works. I would redirect the domains to the homepage of the site since the link juice will flow to the urls from the homepage.

Well the money site which i'm trying to rank has 48 articles with 48 different keywords. Is it good to redirect all the domains to the home page ?

And how much to spam them with GSA SER?

10 redirects might look suspicious. I've never redirected that many domains to a single site so I don't know if it will cause any problems or not.

When you redirect one domain to another, you are indirectly telling Google that you own both of them. So I don't think it matters if they share the same WHOIS details and IP.

Very soon, Big G will catch all your tiered PBNs. Do take note that there should be only 1 redirect at any point to the money site. It is fine if you have 3-5 domains 301' to main site, it is invalid to redirect 301 to 301 then money site.

I've checked the domains on Open Site Explorer and the following 2 domains are really good.

Domain 1: DA 11, PA 17

Domain 2: DA 31, PA 41

Now, should i spam them with GSA SER and then redirect to my money site root domain ?

Also, if i spam them with GSA SER, should i use the anchor texts which i'm trying to rank or doesn't matter?

If u spam them and u get hit by G the penalty will pass to ur money site due to 301 redirect. Better make a small PBN and send some home page links to ur money site. It is also better for future projects. If ur money site is a churn and burn site just go for it.

I don't see any value...

Domain 2: DA 31, PA 41

that might be OK, but check the backlinks and swayback machine well, it has 250 referring domains, which might be spam...

Yes,301 redirect code is neccessary.It is part of ON page SEO.

As there seems to be confusion, is homepage or entire site redirected, there's a helpful redirect-checker on "try" subdomain of "seoimage" site (sorry no links allowed for me yet) which detects even python-spoofed URLs.

However, I don't know how to use it to check a list of URLs, e.g. from a file, as it's form data exchange is hidden - can anyone please advise a way to mass-check redirects?

21 days old question. But if you still need the answer...

Yeah, spam them, wait for two weeks so the links get indexed, then 301. Use diverse anchor text, including relevant and generic.
